Search and rescue crews have recovered the body of one of the two missing people involved in Saturday’s deadly boat accident on Lake Tahoe.

Search and rescue teams recovered the body of one of the two missing boaters on Sunday evening. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.

The search for the last missing person continues as of Monday morning. Dive teams from the El Dorado, Washoe, and San Joaquin County sheriff’s offices are assisting in the ongoing efforts.

Authorities have confirmed two survivors, seven deceased, and one person still missing after a boat capsized near D.L. Bliss State Park.

Six bodies were recovered from the lake on Saturday. Two people were rescued and taken to a local hospital.

The incident happened on Saturday afternoon, when a 27-foot Chris-Craft boat carrying 10 people overturned in turbulent weather. Officials say the lake saw waves as high as 8 feet, with wind speeds reaching 30 knots.

The U.S. Coast Guard helped lead the initial search, covering more than 390 square miles over a 12-hour period before suspending its operation Sunday morning.

Local agencies have since taken over.
