Vietnam Vet Runs To Fend Off Ghosts Of War

Esther Ciammachilli

Seventy-one year-old Frank Bozanich began his long-distance running career in 1969 when he came home from Vietnam. He says running helps him cope with the residual traumas of war. Today, he lives in Reno and will be competing in the 2015 Senior Summer Games. He stopped by to talk to Reno Public Radio’s Esther Ciammachilli about his decades-long running career and why the upcoming Olympic style competition is a critical tool for promoting senior health.

Esther Ciammachilli is a former part-time broadcaster at KUNR Public Radio.
