Mayor Hillary Schieve is hosting the first annual Mayor's Dog Bowl on April 29--a charity bowling tournament in Reno, NV. The charity event benefits Options Veterinary Care who help low-income senior citizens and families keep a beloved dog or cat by providing needed veterinary care for their best buddy.

Mayor Schieve is a long-time supporter of human and animal welfare charities and is hosting this event to raise needed funds for services provided at Options Veterinary Care, northern Nevada's only nonprofit clinic.

This event will include:
· Meet and greets with the mayor
· Trophies and fabulous prize baskets for the winning bowling teams
· A silent auction of bowling pins painted by amazing local artists
· Guest appearances by pets and families helped by Options
· Local celebrity rescue dog Peanut
· Drink specials
· All attendees will receive a gift bag filled with treats for people and pets!

Ways to participate:
· Businesses can sponsor the event--All sponsorships include advertising benefits and bowling lanes for your staff to join in the fun!
· Friends can snag a lane--Teams of five can bowl for the cause together for $300 to help save pet lives.
· Individuals--Can buy a single ticket for $60 and we'll put them on a team.
· Watch the action--Supporters not sponsoring or bowling can buy a ticket to watch the event for $20, enjoy refreshments, check out the photo booth and participate in the silent bowling pin art auction.

About Options: Options Veterinary Care is a unique nonprofit clinic that provides essential veterinary care for those who cannot afford it, preventing suffering for pets and keeping them with the people who love them in Northern Nevada. These pets are beloved and important companions to seniors with limited incomes and low-income families in our community. Last year Options provided care to over 9,800 pets in need.
