University's Emma Sepulveda Pulvirenti honored nationally and locally

Dr. Emma Sepulveda Pulvirenti, University of Nevada, Reno.

  

A national honor has highlighted the achievements of a University of Nevada, Reno leader, and elevated the university's profile internationally. 

Dr. Emma Sepúlveda Pulvirenti, professor in World Languages and Literature and director of the Latino Research Center, has been appointed by President Obama to the William J. Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board as one of four new members of the prestigious 12-member board. She was also named as the Nevada Regents 2015 Creative Activities Award recipient.

Sepúlveda Pulvirenti discussed the appointment and other highlights of her career with university provost Kevin Carman and David Stipech on KUNR's Beyond the Headlines (air date: 5-8-15).
