Animal Ark Wildlife Sanctuary is excited to welcome visitors back for the 2025 season with a special Opening Weekend on April 5 & 6 from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM (weather permitting). Guests can enjoy up-close wildlife experiences, shop incredible discounts at our gift store, and meet our newest animal residents!

Animal Ark is also introducing two new residents:

Archimedes (Archie), an Eastern Screech Owl – Hatched in 2014, Archie was found in the wild with a fractured wing, leaving him with limited flight. He became an education bird at the World Bird Sanctuary but remained shy. His injury made survival in the wild impossible, so he now has a permanent home at Animal Ark.

Wyatt Chirp, a Harris’ Hawk – Hatched in 2011, Wyatt comes from the World Bird Sanctuary, where he was an education bird. He struggled with environmental allergies that kept him indoors. Needing a drier climate, Wyatt found a new home at Animal Ark, where he can thrive. He is incredibly curious and social, making him a great ambassador for his species.
