About the EventAs If! is bringing the definitive 90s rock show to Reno Public Market!
“As If!”, Reno's Ultimate 90s Experience, is bringing the definitive 90s rock show to Reno Public Market, 299 E Plumb Lane in Midtown Reno. Created by and starring the electrifying Laura Rocke, As If! is playing their debut performance delivering an authentic, high-octane throwback to 90s grunge, alternative and pop rock, driven by the raw, emotive power of lead vocalist Rocke.
Founded to revive the era’s innovative sound, their authentic performances combine the iconic melodies and intense, soulful vocals that capture the spirit of the decade. As If! is a labor of love for its founder and frontwoman, who possesses the uncanny ability to channel the quintessential grit and emotion of 90s vocals and lyrics. She assembled a team of equally-passionate and seasoned musicians to re-create the heavy riffs, thumping basslines, and aggressive drums that defined 90s rock and its sub-genres. They include Bud DiFatta on lead guitar, Rachel Schlingheyde on bass guitar, and Josh Mathis on drums.
As If! doesn’t just “cover” this music, they embody it, bringing a gritty, unfiltered energy to every stage they hit, from Northern Nevada’s local venues to regional festivals. As If! is more than just a band; it is a dedicated, heartfelt tribute to the golden age of rock, brought to life for a new generation.
