Classical Tahoe Music Festival returns for its 15th season July 11–Aug. 9, bringing four weeks of orchestral, jazz and chamber music performances to North Lake Tahoe. Featuring more than 70 musicians from across the country, the 2026 season includes orchestral masterpieces like Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 and Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1, the return of Music in Motion with the Lake Tahoe Dance Collective, the Brubeck Jazz Summit celebrating jazz legend Dave Brubeck, family-friendly programming and a new chamber concert at Sugar Bowl Resort. Performances take place at the Ricardi Pavilion at the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe and additional venues throughout Incline Village. The Village at Rancharrah, fondly known as “Reno’s backyard,” is excited to welcome the community back for its popular Village Summer Concert Series presented by Dolan Auto Group, now entering its fourth year. This cherished weekly event brings together hundreds of locals to enjoy warm evenings filled with live music, connection, and celebration in one of Reno-Tahoe’s most vibrant outdoor destinations. Beginning Wednesday, May 27th and running through Wednesday, September 2nd, friends, families and visitors alike can enjoy live music weekly in the Village courtyard from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.This free weekly event has become a beloved summer tradition in Reno, regularly drawing hundreds of attendees to the Village at Rancharrah. Guests are encouraged to bring low-back lawn chairs or a picnic blanket and settle in for an evening of live music in a relaxed outdoor setting. The concert series offers a mix of local and regional performances across diverse musical styles. Attendees can enjoy the music while grabbing a delicious meal, cool beverage or sweet treat from one of The Village’s many exceptional restaurants and eateries. And we’re in the best possible place, right on the water surrounded by mountains, to experience that phenomenon!The Sierra State Parks Foundation is partnering with California State Parks to offer a unique after-hours kayak tour along the shore of Sugar Pine Point State Park in Lake Tahoe. The tour will take place between the highest-elevation operational lighthouse in the U.S. and the park’s southern boundary, overlooking Meeks Bay. State Park staff will provide insight into the region’s cultural and natural history under the radiance of alpenglow.Your ticket helps support educational programs in our parks!The cost of the tour is $55, which includes parking, the kayak rental, mandatory life jackets, safety training, and guided tour. No experience is necessary. Attendees should arrive at 6:30 p.m. at the restrooms on the Day Use parking lot (lakeside, not campground side of the park), and from there, we will walk together to the boat house to pick up rentals. The tour begins at 7:00 p.m. and lasts an hour and a half, plus. Recommended for ages 12 and up. Space is very limited, so book now!
The Unbound Chamber Music Festival presents “Love Story” with passionate music by Beethoven, de Falla, Paganini and American Samuel Coleridge-Taylor (his Blues-inflected “Piano Quintet no. 1”. Festival artists include the Felici Piano Trio, cellist Ani Aznavoorian, and violist Meredith Crawford.

Visual artist, educator, tribal leader, and cultural practitioner Gerald Clarke discusses his wide range of work–from sculpture and installation to branded prints and performance. An enrolled citizen of the Cahuilla Band of Indians, Clarke lives in the Anza Valley where his family has lived for time immemorial. He describes his work as conceptual and united by a spirit of perseverance and adaptation, expressing his perspective as a Cahuilla person and 21st century citizen of the world. He is a Professor of Ethnic Studies at the University of California Riverside where he teaches classes on Native American art, history, and culture.
