The Beckwourth-Complex Fire has burned more than 105,000 acres and is now 98 percent contained. According to InciWeb, the fire behavior analyst for this incident does not expect the fire to spread outside of its current perimeter. Firefighters are working to contain the last section of open fireline and extinguishing all heat sources near the fireline. Crews are prepared to respond should new fire starts around the fire area occur.

Crews have the Beckwourth Complex fire nearly contained as of this morning. Overnight, firefighters were able to get up to 96% containment of the blaze that has burned 105,670 acres northeast of Reno.
The Dotta Fire, one of the blazes that comprise the Beckwourth Complex, is 100% contained.
An evacuation warning remains in effect for the dirt portion of Doyle Grade where the pavement ends to the Plumas County line.
Evacuation warnings are in effect for Frenchman Lake and the surrounding areas of Carmen, Frenchman Cove, Dooley and Frenchman Village, as well as Doyle Grade, Sugarloaf, Plinco and Dixie Valley Road from Beckwourth-Genesee Road to Frenchman Lake.

Crews have the Beckwourth Complex Fire 90% contained as of this morning. The blaze has burned 105,670 acres, since sparking July 3 from a lightning strike.
Crews are continuing to monitor for hot spots, and equipment is being gathered to send to other fires.
A mandatory evacuation order for the dirt portion of Doyle Grade has been downgraded to an evacuation warning. Evacuation warnings have been lifted for all other areas.
There will still likely be traffic impacts due to emergency crews in the area.

The Mandatory Evacuation Order remains in place for the dirt portion of Doyle Grade where the pavement ends 3.4 miles south of US 395.

The Beckwourth Complex fire remains at more than 105,000 acres, while containment has increased to 82 percent. The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office is reporting on Facebook that some evacuation warnings have been reduced for some areas. Here are the details:

The Beckwourth Complex Fire continues to burn in the areas near Doyle, California. The blaze has grown to more than 105,000 acres, or more than 163 square miles.
Crews have gotten the fire to 68% containment as of this morning. The fire was helped by gusty winds earlier this week, but winds are expected to be a little bit calmer today through Saturday afternoon.
The Lassen County Sheriff's Office is urging residents of Milford, Doyle, and Herlong to remain vigilant, as the fire activity has been dynamic and fast-changing.
The shelter at the Lassen County Fairgrounds has been moved to the Lassen Community College Gym on Highway 139 in Susanville. The phone number is (530) 250-9004.
Evacuation Warnings remain in effect for Lassen County, along with mandatory evacuations and warnings in Plumas County. The latest details are on the Facebook pages for the sheriff's offices of both counties.

Just West of the Beckwourth Fire is the Dixie Fire, which has burned nearly 5,000 acres in Plumas County.
No structures are threatened by that blaze, but evacuation orders have been issued for the High Lakes areas, and Rock Creek to Tobin. Camp Creek Road is closed in the area and the Pacific Coast Trail is also closed at Highway 70 north of Belden.
In Mono County, the Dexter Fire has grown to 2,362 acres, with 15% containment.
Mandatory evacuations have been ordered for campers in the Bald Mountain area. The Big Springs and Bald Mountain Springs Campgrounds have been evacuated and are closed.
Road closures are also in effect north of Owen's River Road, east of Highway 395, west of Forest Road.
The blaze was sparked by a lightning strike Monday morning.

Strong winds yesterday increased the size of the Beckwourth Complex Fire to just over 100,000 acres. It is now 68 percent contained.

US 395 is now open but officials warn that people need to stay out of the evacuated areas.

Spot fires began to spread Wednesday afternoon, thanks to gusty winds of up to 50 miles per hour in the area.

The Beckwourth Complex Fire has caused new mandatory evacuations in Lassen County. According to the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page:
The Mandatory Evacuation Order has been expanded to include Doyle Proper on the west side of US 395 from Laura Drive to County Road A26.
The Mandatory Evacuation Order remains in place for the dirt portion of Doyle Grade where the pavement ends approximately 3.4 miles south of US 395. There will be a roadblock at that point and a heavy law enforcement presence will remain in the area.
ROAD CLOSURE: US 395 IS CLOSED FROM LAURA DRIVE TO COUNTY ROAD A26. EVACUEES CAN ACCESS US 395 TO EVACUATE EITHER NORTH OR SOUTH.
Evacuation Warnings remain in effect for the following areas:
• Doyle east and west of US 395 including the town of Herlong south to the Lassen/Sierra County line except for the area under order.
• East of US 395 from Laura Drive south to the Lassen/Sierra County line and from the intersection of A26 north to Milford Grade.

Residents of Milford, Doyle and Herlong should remain vigilant for changing fire conditions.
The California Highway Patrol also reported Wednesday night that US 395 has been shut down from County Road A25 to SR-70 due to deteriorating fire conditions.
The blaze is now 73 percent contained and nearly 96,000 acres. During a virtual community meeting, Operations Section Chief Jake Cagle said crews are seeing extreme fire behavior.
“We’re seeing 50 mph winds, fire whirls, so basically it’s a tornado, a small, little tornado with firebrands in it, and it’s throwing it even further outside with those 50 mph winds,” Cagle said.
Cagle said crews haven’t been able to consistently fly aircraft to fight the fire due to strong winds, which are also causing hot spots.
Chris Carlton is the forest supervisor with the Plumas National Forest. He also spoke during the meeting, offering words of encouragement and hope.
“2,500 firefighters, 19 cooperating agencies, [and] 12, 14, 16-hour, even 24-hour shifts, putting in work to actively suppress this wildfire. And so, along with the challenges, let’s remember all the work that’s been done, and we are going to get there,” Carlton said.
The next few days are expected to continue to be hot, dry, and windy.

The Beckwourth Fire has grown to 92,988 acres, with 46% containment as of this morning.
Mandatory evacuations have been added for Dixie Valley Road from Beckwourth-Genesee Road to Frenchman Lake. Additionally, all surrounding areas of Frenchman Lake, as well as Doyle Grade and Sugarloaf Road are under mandatory evacuations.
Evacuation warnings are in effect for Highway 70 between Becwourth-Genesee Road and the county line, as well as all addresses along the south side of Highway 70 between the Beckwourth-Genesee Road and the county line.
All residents in Chilcoot and Vinton are also under evacuation warnings.

The Beckwourth Complex Fire has burned nearly 90,000 acres with 23% containment.
Evacuations have been lifted in Washoe County for the fire, according to Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue.
Officials urge residents in Rancho Haven to continue to be vigilant and prepared to evacuate. Officials are also urging residents to regularly check their local sheriffs’ office’s Facebook page for the latest and most up-to-date information on evacuations.
A virtual community meeting will be held Monday at 7 p.m. on the Plumas National Forest Facebook page.
Due to the fire, the U.S. Postal Service has suspended service at the Doyle, Herlong, Milford and Chilcoot post offices effective immediately. Doyle, Herlong and Milford customers can mail items or pick up parcels at the Susanville post office. Chilcoot customers can mail items or pick up parcels at the Loyalton post office.

The Beckwourth Complex Fire has ballooned to roughly 86,000 acres, and there are multiple evacuations in effect in Washoe, Lassen, and Plumas Counties. Containment now stands at 20 percent. There's a total of 1,790 personnel battling this fire.
Due to strong winds, Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue is maintaining the evacuation orders in Rancho Haven, Fish Springs, and Flanigan Flat. Hug High School in Reno is the evacuation center for people and small animals. The Reno Livestock Events Center is where large animals can be taken. Anyone affected by the fire needing assistance can call 1-800-REDCROSS.
In Lassen County, the mandatory evacuation order for Milford from Milford Grade to A25 on the west side of US 395 has been reduced to a warning. Changing fire activity could cause this area to escalate to an evacuation order at any time, according to officials. In Plumas County, law enforcement is establishing a list of property owners within and near the fire who believe their property may be impacted. A spokesman for the incident command team for the blaze confirmed Sunday afternoon in a video update on Facebook that there has been structure loss in Doyle, California and the Doyle Fire Protection District reported on Sunday morning that multiple homes have been lost there due to the fire. Attempts to assess damage are underway but the dangerous conditions have slowed those efforts.
The Plumas County District Attorney’s Office released a statement on Facebook Sunday that the Plumas County Sheriff has now issued emergency evacuation orders. That means the failure to follow these evacuations orders is a criminal offense. The statement said that the change is the result of “people who are entering closure areas and interfering with or hindering firefighting efforts.” The statement also said these actions put firefighters and first responders in danger.

Nearly 1,800 firefighting personnel continue to battle the Beckwourth Complex Fire. The blaze has swelled to 83,926 acres, with 8% containment at this time.
Extreme fire behavior is expected again today, with strong afternoon winds and dry, hot conditions.
"We do have a little bit of enhancement in those winds expected this afternoon, picking up around 3-5 miles per hour higher than what we saw yesterday, with afternoon and evening gusts out of the southwest to around 25 miles an hour. In addition, we'll see another uptick in those winds on Monday, gusting to around 30 miles an hour," said Dan Harty, incident meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
Harty is on the scene of the Beckwourth Complex Fire and said conditions are ripe for fire activity.
"There's some record high temps in the region and we are looking at 15 degrees above normal approximately for the next couple of days, with an excessive heat warning running through Tuesday," said Harty.
A damage assessment team has been ordered to determine the amount of structures damaged or destroyed.
As the fire moves eastward into Nevada, it will begin transitioning from burning timber to sage brush and annual grasses, which could lead to faster spread and spotting.

Nearly 1,800 firefighting personnel continue to battle the two blazes that comprise the Beckwourth Complex Fire. While the overall situation continues to worsen and the fire swells, crews were able to hold the fire on the south and southwestern flanks last night, and secured 99% containment on the Dotta Fire.
Firefighters also were able to eliminate fuels that posed a threat to the Chilcoot community.

The Beckwourth Complex Fire has now swelled to nearly 84,000 acres. The blaze jumped US-395 last night, prompting evacuation orders for the Rancho Haven and Flanigan Flats communities. It has been downgraded to 8% containment as of this morning.
As the fire continues to march east, fuels will transition from timber to annual grass and sage, which could lead to a faster rate of spread and increasing spotting potential.
Weather isn't helping firefighting efforts either. An excessive heat warning is in effect for the area of the blaze. Shane Snyder is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Reno. He says it's going to continue to stay dry, windy and hot.
"So, the next few days, it's 100-105 up in that general area down along 395 between Susanville and Doyle," said Shane Snyder, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Reno.
Snyder said one thing that also isn't helping is that nights are warmer and dryer right now.
"That allows the dry conditions to persist for some fuels overnight as well. So basically, very dry in the day, and not great on the overnight recovery on the humidities either. So, that's significant as well," Snyder said.

At a virtual community meeting hosted by the Plumas National Forest Saturday night, which you can view here, multiple agencies gave their latest updates on the Beckwourth Complex Fire. During the meeting, fire officials warned that some people have decided to stay in the mandatory evacuation areas, which is requiring ongoing patrols.
A spokesman for the Plumas County Sheriff's Office said they are urging people not to wait until the last minute to evacuate. Several community members asked about property damage in the burned areas, but those areas are too dangerous for damage assessment. A crew has been ordered to begin that work as soon as conditions allow.
Truckee Meadows Fire Chief Charles Moore said that the fire is very dangerous and is urging everyone to take the evacuations seriously. His agency has reinstated evacuation orders for the Rancho Haven and Flanigan Flats communities. People are asked to evacuate to the south on Red Rock Road

US 395 was closed Saturday afternoon. The northern end closure is at Country Road A26, just north of Doyle, and the southern closure is at State Route 70.
In Plumas County, there are mandatory evacuations in Frenchman Lake, Carmen, Frenchman Cove, Dooley, and Frenchman Village, along with Dixie Valley Road from Beckwourth-Genesee Road to Frenchman Lake, all residences north of Highway 70 between Beckwourth-Genesee Road and the county line, all residences in Chilcoot north of Highway 70, all residences in Vinton north of Highway 70. An emergency shelter is now open at Jensen Hall, on Fairgrounds Road, at the Lassen County Fairgrounds in Susanville. Those affected by the fire can also call the Emergency Shelter line at (530) 250-9004.
It is asked for anyone going to the shelter to bring their medication and medical equipment (walkers, breathing machines, etc.), clothing for multiple days, and important papers such as insurance cards. In addition, the shelter is not providing medical care. Any caretakers must accompany you for the duration of your stay. Please keep in mind weapons, drugs, alcohol and personal bedding are not permitted at the shelter.
Animals needing shelter can be housed at the Lassen County Fairgrounds. Liability, feed, security, and care of animals housed at the Fairgrounds are the sole responsibility of the animal’s owner. A check-in form will be available at the barns, please provide to the Fair Office during normal business hours. Please use the Paul Bunyan entrance to the Fairgrounds for sheltering animals in the barns. A Mandatory Evacuation Order has been expanded to include everything west of US 395 from the intersection of County Road A25 and US 395 south to the Lassen/Sierra County Line, the town of Doyle east of US 395 including Doyle Loop, and all roads connecting to Doyle Loop and Hackstaff Road to Laver Crossing.
Evacuation Warnings have been extended for residents who are east of US 395 from County Road A25, including the town of Herlong south to the Sierra/Lassen County line, and the town of Milford from Milford grade south, along with everything in between.

US 395 is closed due to the fire. The California Highway Patrol reported on Facebook at 4:30 pm Saturday that closures span between US 395 at county road A26 and US 395 at SR 70.
If you need assistance evacuating, call the non-emergency dispatch center for Lassen County at (530) 257-6121. Deputies are going door to door to notify those affected. Go to readyforwildfire.org for information on what to bring if you’re evacuating.

Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue is reporting on Twitterthat the Beckwourth Complex Fire is not posing an immediate threat to Washoe County. The agency is lifting evacuations but residents in Rancho Haven should continue to be vigilant and monitor the news in case evacuation orders are reinstated.

The Beckwourth Complex Fire northwest of Reno in Plumas County, Calif. was active all Friday night. The blaze has grown to 55,091 acres, which is about 50 percent larger than what was reported Friday night, according to KOLO.
There are about 1,256 personnel on the fire that started in the Beckwourth area east of Portola and eventually spread east, engulfing Frenchman Lake and moving close to U.S. 395. There are mandatory and voluntary evacuations in various parts of Washoe, Lassen, and Plumas Counties. The U.S. Fire Service released an update on Facebook Saturday morning and is suggesting that residents to sign up for your county's CodeRed emergency alerts. The evacuation center at Hug High School in Washoe County is closed because of no attendance. If you need help, contact the American Red Cross at 800-733-2767.

The Plumas County Sheriff's Office is reporting on Facebook that officials have downgraded evacuation orders for residents living south of Highway 70 between Beckwourth-Genesee Road and the Plumas/Lassen County line. They are asking residents to be prepared to leave.
All other evacuations remain in place for the Beckwourth Complex Fire. Washoe County Sheriff’s Office personnel have contacted all residents in the Rancho Haven and North Red Rock area and advised them of the evacuation. Deputies will remain in the areas through the night.

The fire is estimated at 38,000 acres and is 9 percent contained.

Washoe County fire officials have issued a mandatory evacuation for residents living in the Red Rock, Rancho Haven and Flanagan Flats communities north of the Nevada-California state line.
The Sugar Fire, part of the Beckwourth Complex Fire, has grown significantly this afternoon, with the blaze crossing Highway 395 shortly before 4 p.m.
Residents are being asked to evacuate by going south on Red Rock Road. People and small animals can evacuate to Hug High School, and the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center is open to accommodate large animals.
In Lassen County, the sheriff’s office has initiated evacuations for residents living north and south of Doyle Grade along Highway 395 South to Red Rock Road on the west side of Highway 395.
Fire officials are not calling for evacuations in Cold Springs or the North Valleys of Reno.
The most recent estimates show the Beckwourth Complex Fire has, so far, burned more than 24,000 acres and is 11 percent contained.
Douglas County officials have confirmed two wildfires burning north of Jacks Valley Road. There are no evacuations at this time, but emergency management officials are asking residents to remain alert. Jacks Valley is closed at the elementary school and Genoa.
