New Poll Shows Clinton Ahead In Nevada

Hillary Clinton Campaign

A new poll shows Democratic Presidential Nominee Hillary Clinton leading Republican Donald Trump by six points in Nevada.

Reno Public Radio's Noah Glick reports.

The Suffolk University poll looks at likely voters in this year’s election and shows Clinton ahead 44 to 38 percent. In the same poll conducted in August, Clinton led by two points.

The biggest change is among women voters in Nevada, a group that now favors the former Secretary of State by 15 points.

Director of the Suffolk University Political Research Center David Paleologos says Clinton’s debate performance resonated with women in the Silver State, while Trump’s increased his unfavorable rating.

The poll also shows a majority of Nevadans support the ballot measures that require background checks on all gun sales and legalize recreational marijuana.
