Please join us on May 23, 2026 for the annual Mini-Mart, featuring artists working in print, zines, and DIY publishing. In addition to an art market, music will be provided by KWNK Community Radio DJs, there will be readings by local poets and authors, a DIY Darkroom Open House, open galleries and exhibition reception, mutual aid info sharing, hands-on demos with Laika Press, food from Silver State Pie Co and Bibo Freddo, & more!

Participating locations include The Holland Project, Laika Press, The Radical Cat, and Tooti Frooti, all within short walking distance from each other. Entry is FREE at all locations and we’ll be open 10am-3pm.

Eagle Valley Children's Home is celebrating 80 years of caring for Northern Nevada families and you are invited to our free community celebration at our campus in Carson City, Nevada. Embracing the legacy of our ranch heritage we are hosting a FREE BBQ, live music, classic cars, kids activities, facility tours, and more.

For eight decades we have prospered because of this community, and this celebration is our way of inviting people to come in, connect, and be part of what we do every day.

To help us plan, we encourage guests to RSVP and be entered into a free drawing for one of two 80th Anniversary Appreciation Gift Baskets, including a $100 Visa gift card and commemorative Eagle Valley Children's Home swag. RSVP at evch.net.

A variety of adaptive sports will be featured at the annual Mark Wellman Adventure Day & Abilities Expo, when people with disabilities and their friends and families are invited to try out hand-cycling, kayaking, and rock climbing through the use of a broad range of adaptive equipment.

The event’s namesake, Mark Wellman, is a two-time Paralympian and nationally acclaimed author, filmmaker, and motivational speaker. He is best known for his ascent of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park, marking the first ascent of the cliff by a paraplegic. Wellman will be on hand to share his passion for the outdoors and assist participants with scaling a portable climbing wall. Those who want to test-drive an adaptive cycle can do so with help from experienced cyclists. There will also be a kayak station staffed with very experienced and knowledgeable community volunteers.

In addition to recreational opportunities, there will be an Abilities Expo, with a variety of organizations offering information and resources for people with disabilities.

Doodle Your Soul is back with their famously awesome and creative Kid's Arts & Crafts Class! Come in this Saturday from 12-3pm to enjoy creating art and take home what you make.
This is completely free, but we ask you to RSVP to make sure we have plenty of supplies.
Adult supervision is required for the duration of the class.
