Community Calendar

Welcome autumn with our 12th annual park-benefitting cruise! Enjoy spellbinding stories (true or false, you decide!), free-flowing fine wine by Highway 12 Winery, and endless appetizers. A cash bar will be available.
A live auction of marvelous treasures and experiences will be offered, benefiting the Sierra State Parks Foundation.
Seating is limited, and reservations are required. We highly recommend guests arrive at 3:30 pm as the boat leaves sharply at 4 pm! We predict the boat will return to the docks at 6 pm.
Tickets are $85 ($75 donors), which includes a sunset cruise, access to multiple entertaining speakers, heavy appetizers, and free wine.

Estelle J. Kelsey Foundation Hands ON! Second Saturdays offers monthly free admission, hands-on art activities, storytelling, a docent-guided tour, live performances, and community collaborations. “Art Adventures” provides children the opportunity to engage with Museum staff and take a closer look at current work on view. Queer Culture Club: Virginia Woolf, Gender, and Modern Art at the Turn of the 20th Century

Queer Culture Club is a limited series that explores the impact of queer expression and representation in literature, film, art, and music.

Saturday, September 12: Join us for a film screening of The Hours, directed by Stephen Daldry and adapted from Michael Cunningham's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel. The movie earned Nicole Kidman a Best Actress Academy Award for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf. This film explores themes of depression and suicide.

Saturday, October 10: We will host a moderated book chat on Orlando: A Biography by Virginia Woolf. Please read the novel before attending to participate in the conversation.

Saturday, November 14: To wrap up the series there will be a crowdsourced, collaborative discussion of Virginia Woolf, the Bloomsbury Group, and modern art at the turn of the 20th Century.
