The Urology Nevada Cancer Foundation will host its annual 5k for Prostate Cancer on Saturday, Aug. 23, at Idlewild Park to honor survivors, remember those lost, and promote early detection through accessible prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screenings. The family-friendly event includes a five-kilometer run/walk, one-mile walk, and the Kids Superhero Dash for Dad, plus local businesses sharing health resources. Registration is $25 and open now until the day of the race, with opening ceremonies at 8:30 a.m. Proceeds support expanded access to prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screenings in northern Nevada.
