This is Sierra Watercolor Society's newest exhibit, with original watercolor paintings by local artists, doing something a little different! Appropriate for all ages and abilities to enjoy. There will be a free Artists' Reception on Sunday, May 19, from 3-5 p.m., with the artists available to meet you and answer questions, and with beverages and snacks. You can vote for your favorite painting at any time during the seven weeks. We hope to see you there!
There is now a Nicotine Anonymous meeting in the Reno / Sparks area. We meet every Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the Alano Club which is located at 1640 Prater Way in Sparks. The only requirement for attendance is a desire to quit using nicotine. There are no dues or fees for attending meetings. Let us share our experience, strength and hopes with you on how we were able to quit using nicotine and how our lives have improved since quitting. Please note: Animal Ark's amphitheater is the venue for this event, so the main portion of Animal Ark's park will be closed for the evening. Our Visitor Center will be available for guests. Come back in August for our nighttime tours of the park!
