Join CODEPINK Reno for this FREE screening of Palestine Exception, a documentary that focuses on the wave of pro-Palestinian protests that swept across U.S. college campuses in 2024 and the repressive backlash students, faculty and activists.

The documentary features professors and students as they join calls for a ceasefire and divestment from companies that do business with Israel and face waves of crackdown from administrators, the media, the police and politicians.\

We will also be joined via Zoom by one of the Directors, Jennifer Ruth, for a Q&A after the screening.

As Into the Time Horizon prepares to close, our trained Museum docents lead an interactive conversation in the galleries about the artworks from around the world that illustrate possibilities for a better collective future.

Insurance later in life is often assumed to be “handled,” when in reality it is frequently outdated or incomplete.

The truth is that many older adults discover coverage gaps only after a loss, a move, or a major life change. Common misconceptions include believing standard policies cover everything, that estate planning and insurance are separate issues, or that coverage does not need regular review.

This seminar examines the insurance essentials that affect older adults, including what common policies cover—and what they do not—how insurance intersects with estate and financial planning, and what should be reviewed when downsizing, moving, or transitioning to senior living.

Attendees will gain clearer understanding of what to review, what questions to ask, and how insurance decisions affect long-term protection.

The Big Red Bag Business Holiday Gifting Showcase is bringing together many of the promotional products and apparel industry’s leading manufacturers alongside local businesses and nonprofit organizations to help Northern Nevada companies discover memorable business holiday gifts for clients and employees.

While many businesses don’t begin thinking about business holiday gifts until late fall, the planning process starts much earlier. The Big Red Bag event gives business owners, executives, office managers, HR professionals, and marketing teams an opportunity to explore hundreds of business holiday gift ideas and branded apparel options before the busy holiday ordering season begins.

In addition to products from many of the industry’s premier manufacturers, attendees will discover curated Nevada-made gifts from The Flag Store, handcrafted confections from Dorinda’s Chocolates, and opportunities to connect with several local nonprofit organizations. Guests will also have the opportunity to personalize a leather keepsake at the Leather Lab while exploring exhibits throughout the afternoon.

By examining how knowledge about nature is constructed, Dion challenges the objectivity and authoritative role of science in contemporary society, and shows how pseudo-science, social agendas and ideology creep into public discourse and knowledge production.

Dion’s work, Cabinet of Extinction is on view in The Sixth Extinction section of Into the Time Horizon.
