Join us for a candid and heartfelt conversation featuring a panel of resilient surviving spouses who have gracefully (and sometimes not so gracefully) moved through the challenging journey from ‘we’ to ‘me.’ These courageous storytellers will delve into the emotional intricacies, hurdles, and moments of triumph associated with the stage of life which is widowhood, shedding light on the unspoken aspects of this profound life transition.

Find inspiration in the strength, resilience, and reinvention that emerge from such a challenging chapter, paving the way for unexpected and positive life stages that follow.

A new moon is rising over Reno’s music scene. RVLTN Events proudly announces the debut of Desert Moon, a two-night electronic music experience taking over City Plaza on Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27, 2025.
“Desert Moon is more than an electronic concert, it’s a statement about Reno’s growth as a cultural destination and our commitment to bringing world-class experiences to downtown Reno,” said Ethan Wigfield, Event Creator and Director of Operations at RVLTN.
Known for electrifying crowds across Las Vegas and beyond, RVLTN has been testing the temperatures in Reno for over 2 years. The scene responded with ravenous ravers and sold out crowds on a monthly basis. Pairing large-scale production with a lineup that blends international headliners, cult favorites, and rising local talent, Desert Moon is poised to spark a new era for live music in the Biggest Little City.
Leading the charge on Friday is electronic rock juggernaut Sullivan King, known for his metal breakdown-inspired drops and ripping live guitar solos.
"Can’t wait to get RECKLESS in RENO! Let’s rage this summer in the desert!!” Said, Sullivan King.
For the final set on Saturday, ATLiens will invade City Plaza, bringing chaos of and extraterrestrial nature. When asked for comment, ATLiens offered only a cryptic message. The translation is unclear, but one thing is certain: Desert Moon promises an experience that’s out of this world.
“𐊑⩻Ϟ⟊҂⫷⟁⩢⟁⧇ ϯ⟁𐍃 ⩸҉𐐘 ᔦ⟁⧋ ⧩҈𐑗 ϟ⟊⪿Ϣ ⩽⧈⩬ 𐌌⟁ ⫺⩻⩫⧞⩼," said ATLiens.
These heavy-hitting headliners are supported by masked mystery man GHENGAR, dubstep titan FuntCase, and bass house king Habstrakt. The weekend also features sets from Midnight Tyrannosaurus, Rated R, Seth David, Pretty Sweet, PYKE, and more. Reno’s own Kill Your Utopia and JARS will hold it down for the hometown scene.
The 18+ event will run from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM each day and feature immersive stage design, large-scale art, food vendors, and a community-forward atmosphere alongside the Truckee river beneath the open Reno sky.

On September 27th, 2025, Nevada’s Recovery and Prevention invites you to join us in celebrating Recovery Month by registering to attend our R5k Run/Walk & Recovery Celebration. September marks National Recovery Month which is observed to educate Americans that substance use treatment and mental health services can empower those with mental and substance use disorders to live healthy and rewarding lives.
NRAP’s R5k Run/Walk & Recovery Celebration is held to promote community health and wellness, celebrate individuals in recovery, and reduce the stigma often associated with addiction. The R5k will provide an opportunity for participants to walk/run for themselves, or in honor of someone they know impacted by substance use, followed by a recovery celebration open to all community members. The post-race celebration is free and open to the public regardless of 5k participation. The celebration will include food, family activities, and local guest speakers and advocates who are in recovery. Community organizations will be providing information on local services and present on relevant topics.
Why Participate?
Your support will help support students who identify as being in recovery or those students choosing a substance-free lifestyle have a positive experience while attending the University and strengthen NRAP’s ability to change the stigma associated with non-substance use on our college campuses.

One day letterpress printing workshops are now being offered in the "Mark Twain Room" in the Historic Fourth Ward School Museum in Virginia City, Nevada.Learn the basics of the 550+ year old art and craft of Letterpress Printing from Steve Robison, an experienced letterpress printer.

Be able to walk away with a special hand printed piece to share with your friends and family.

On the day of the workshop, we ask that you bring a short, one or two line favorite quote or saying to set in type (we'll supply the type!). Also, please bring a bag lunch to eat during the workshop. And wear some old clothes in case some ink gets into places it isn't meant to be!

The workshop fee is $25 for nonmembers, $20 for Fourth Ward School Museum members, for one of the Saturday Workshops listed below. Each workshop will be from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
